    The skills and experience needed include:

    - At least two years of Hotel Group Sales, Hospitality Sales or Banquets and Catering sales experience
    - Excellent communication skills
    - Intermediate to advanced Word and Excel skills

    Any two or four year degree is a plus.

    Any experience with Amadeus Sales & Event Management's Advance Module (Delphi or Delphi+) is a huge plus.

    JobGiraffe's client, a provider of Hospitality Services to major hotel chains, has an immediate opening for a Banquets and Catering Sales Manager at their Downers Grove location.

    The salary starts up to $50,000 plus you will receive bonus AND very good company-sponsored benefits include:

    - Medical, Dental and Vision after 90 days
    - PTO time off is accrued each month

    The duties include:

    - Reporting to the VP of Operations
    - Managing the hotel's Banquets and Catering sales activity
    - Servicing regular corporate Banquets and Catering customers
    - Handling all Wedding Planners and other Special Event Planners
    - Increasing hotel revenue by selling additional services such at hotel rooms and other services in addition to renting meeting space
    - Making contacts with Tradeshow and Convention Coordinators in order to increase rental activities and room sales
    - Collecting and reviewing monthly sales reports in order to spot trends and forecast future event activity
    - Utilizing social media marketing whenever possible
    - Developing and executing an annual sales plan
