    The SLS Hotel, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Beverly Hills located at 465 S La Cienega Blvd, Beverly Hills, CA 90048 is currently hiring a Pastry Cook.



    Responsibilities include:
    A Pastry Cook provides a supreme pastry experience to our guests by preparing high quality desserts, confections, ice creams, and fancy pastries. The Pastry Cook's main goal is to ensure that our guests will always enjoy exceptional dining experiences. Cleanliness of the food service area and equipment is top priority in this position. The right candidate must possess the ability to physically handle knives, pots, pastry bags, mixing tools, mirrors, or other display items as well as grasp, lift and carry same from shelves and otherwise transport up to 50 pounds to every area of the kitchen. In addition, you must demonstrate an ability to use and handle various kitchen machinery including slicers, buffalo chopper, grinders, mixers, and other kitchen related equipment. The Cook's responsibility will include maintenance of a safe work environment and proper food and supply storage.

    Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; complete safety training and certifications. Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets. Speak with others using clear and professional language. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others; support team to reach common goals; listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees. Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards. Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift. Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
