    Top Chef Master Chris Cosentino is looking for a reliable, friendly and hard working Busperson to join our Jackrabbit team!

    For this role, we are seeking candidates who:

    - Have minimum of one (1) year experience in a busy, full service restaurant

    - Can work a varied and flexible schedule, including mornings, nights, weekdays, weekends and holidays. Schedule will vary based on business need.

    - Previous experience in fine dining and/or as a busser or runner preferred

    A Busperson/Food Runner is responsible for setting up

    and clearing tables, stocking all service stations, and

    assisting food servers with table service to ensure total

    guest satisfaction. They are also responsible for organizing

    the expo station and delivering food to the table in an

    efficient manner to support the service staff.

    Who You Are:

    A runner / busser at Jackrabbit is foundation of our service culture - in other words this position makes everything possible. The position requires outstanding, warm customer service while assisting the wait staff. This role will be expected to have an intimate knowledge of our menu and have the ability to think and adapt quickly to the challenges of a dining room floor.

    As would any Jackrabbit employee on a shift, the bussers and runners would also be expected to:

    - Anticipate guests needs.

    - Support overall operation in a flexible manner.

    - Act as ambassador for the entire Jackrabbit crew.

    - Buss and reset tables.

    - Proper delivery of dishes.

    - Working closely with the wait staff throughout guests dining experience.

    What are we looking for?
    • Previous food and beverage experience preferred, with previous bussing experience preferred
    • Open availability for 6-8 hour shifts on varied days, including weekends and holidays. Restaurant is open from 6AM to 2AM, and this position may be scheduled to work a shift at various times.
    • Hospitality experience preferred
    • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
    • Ability to obtain any government required licenses or certificates, such as Oregon food and liquor service permits. CPR Certification and/or First Aid training preferred.
    • All employees must maintain a neat, clean and well groomed appearance (specific standards available during orientation period)

    The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.
    • Knowledge of the appropriate table settings and service ware.
    • Knowledge of all food menu items including ingredients, presentation, allergens and steps of service during food delivery
    • Ability to understand and communicate English to comprehend and respond to basic guest requests. Ability to understand written English to read any caution or safety notices.
    • Ability to grasp, lift and/or carry, or otherwise, transport up to 50 lbs. through a crowded room.
    • Ability to move or push goods on a hand cart/truck weighing a maximum of 200 lbs.
