    A Business Sales Manager with the New York Hilton Midtown is responsible and accountable for the daily solicitation of previous definite or regretted group bookings that are currently not on active trace solicitation or pending for the New York Hilton Midtown. Utilization of the TopLine Group database management system, market vision reports, and Knowland reader board profiles will be key resources. Goals will be set based on continuing research/analysis, pace concerns, and need periods flagged and predetermined by the Director of Sales & Marketing.

    It's all about location in NYC and New York Hilton Midtown Hotel places you right in the heart of the action, within walking distance of a multitude of famous attractions, including Central Park, Radio City Music Hall, MOMA and Broadway. Stop by the theatre and transportation desk for tips, tickets and travel in and around the city

    What will I be doing?

    Solicitation by phone, electronically and direct mail of accounts that meet the need periods and parameters set by the Director of Sales and Marketing.

    Leads opportunities generated by business development manager options
    • Forward to the active sales manager in DMPE (if there is one that has had previous contact) and give them the opportunity to work the lead with a one week trace update of activity. If no activity in a week opportunity reverts back to business development tow work to fruition.
    • Enters all solicitation activity in DelphiMPE for each account

    Once reviewed and approved by the Dir. Of Sales, verifies account/lead information in DelphiMPE and generates lead to appropriate sales manager within sales department.

    Weekly analysis and research of Reader Board reports. Research internet for rates and Delphi for a turned down booking. Report findings to GM, DOSM, DOS, ADOS, Sales Managers and Revenue Management team. Findings are used when analyzing the STAR report. Groups that fit our target needs will be prospected.

    Attends appropriate meetings/training as deemed necessary by the Director of Sales and Marketing.
    • Daily stand up meeting
    • Required or suggested training sessions

    Miscellaneous meetings which require sales manager participation

    Market Action Plan/Business Plan:

    Coordinates in conjunction with the Director of Sales and Marketing appropriate strategic and action plans that are necessary for the submission of the annual business plan for the department.
