    The Pointe Hilton Tapatio Cliffs Resort is looking for (Part-Time/Seasonal) Banquet Housepersons / Set-Up, to set-up and clean-up all banquet spaces and functions, as well as assist guest in functions areas as needed. Come be a part of the Amazing Hilton Family and join this awesome team!
    Shifts will fluctuate within the hours of (12pm - 3am) most of the time it would be earlier shifts depending on business. Late dinners would require later hours especially on weekends. A candidate with open and flexible availability can be given more hours. Starting wage is of 5.05 per/hr, and its directly tipped. Season ends in June of 2017.
    • Must have current AZ Driver's License
    • Must be able to obtain State Food handlers card/certification within 30 days from first day of work.
    • This position requires the ability to do heavy lifting
    • Must be able to read banquet event orders, and have good communication skills,
    What will I be doing?
    A Banquet Houseperson / Set-Up is responsible setting and cleaning banquet facilities for functions in the hotels continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
    • Set up tables and chairs to meet the function specifications.
    • Properly clean meeting space at beginning, during, and end of events, including not limited vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, polishing, wiping areas and washing walls before and after events
    • Completes assigned side work to include cleaning meeting space and storage space, that adhere to standard hotel products as assigned to adhere to health standards.
    • Able to lift and Push Banquet Equipment
    • Ensure equipment is in full working order and report any defects
    • Attends all mandatory meetings, as well as trainings provided by the hotel.
    • Keeps work area clean and organized.
    • Completes other duties as assigned by supervisor.


    What are we looking for?

    To fulfill this role successfully, you must possess the following minimum qualifications and experience:

    • Basic knowledge of Meeting Rooms Set up, service standards, guest relations and etiquette
    • Knowledge of appropriate table settings and service ware
    • Must posses strong organizational skills
    • Ability to work in outdoor areas
    • Be familiar with all events happening at the hotel
    • Ability to perform under pressure effectively for extensive periods of time while maintaining professionalism
