    • Dust and clean all furniture, picture frames, mirrors, windows, baseboards, carpet edges, inside and outside door panels, door ledges, and thresholds.
    • Cleans guestrooms including duties such as making bed(s), vacuuming, emptying trash, wiping down or dusting all surfaces.
    • Replenishes all guest amenities and information folders as needed.
    • Clean and vacuum under beds, desk, tables and behind night stands.
    • Check and replace all missing items in rooms. (For example: hangers, clocks, ice bucket liners, hair dryers, brochures, and stationery, etc.)
    • Clean and ensure bathtubs, tub ledges, sinks, vanity shelves, toilets, bathroom scales, tissue box covers, and soap dishes are spot and dust free.
    • Sweep and mop all bathroom floors.
    • Places clean bathmats on tubs and/or shower doors and clean towels on towel racks.
    • Replenishes all amenities such as ashtrays, glassware, ice buckets,  soaps and tissues.
    • Conduct a.m. and p.m. room checks to determine the status of the rooms.
    • Load Guest Room Attendant (GRA) cart with cleaning supplies and linen.
    • Fold linen for the GRA cart.
    • Reports unusual room conditions or rooms in need of repair.
    • Reports status of rooms clean/unclean, vacant/occupied via the in-room phone system.
    • Push a fully loaded GRA cart to transport supplies between guest rooms.
    • Follows all safety policies and guidelines of the department, Company, State or Federal authorities. Utilizes safety equipment as required.
    • Performs other job related duties as assigned.

    Required:

    • Three (3) months of experience in a housekeeping position.
    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Ability to work indoors and be exposed to various environmental factors such as, but not limited to noise, dust and cigarette smoke.
    • Ability to maneuver and maintain control of housekeeping cart.
    • Excellent customer service skills.
    • Have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.
    • Professional appearance and demeanor.
    • Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
    • Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms. 

    Preferred:

    • Six (6) months previous experience working in a similar resort setting or hospitality industry.
    • Bilingual, English as the primary or secondary.
