    The Sales Manager - Luxury Consortia Accounts is responsible for developing and servicing of contracted luxury consortia agreements and programs within the Transient market segment. The position  will be also be responsible for developing business at non-contracted hotels, therefore valuing the Travel Professional and agency from an MGMRI enterprise approach.  All duties are to be performed in accordance with federal, state, local laws, regulations, and ordinances, as well as department and MGM Resorts International policies, practices, and procedures.

    • Build and grow relationships with contracted luxury consortia accounts so that assigned revenue goals and customer loyalty expectations are met; actively interface with customers and hotel sales teams to reach revenue goals.
    • Increase awareness of brand and support revenue growth through personal sales calls, travel tradeshows, hotel site inspections, joint sales calls with GSOs or 3rd Party rep companies (Leading Hotels of the World, WORLDHOTELS) or MGM Resorts International executives and participation in industry events.
    • Collaborate with the Director Luxury Sales to develop and implement sales strategies to increase sales by managing accounts, building account and travel agency relationships and prospecting new accounts to maximize reservations, revenue and ADR.
    • Understand fully the Sales and Marketing opportunities from each contracted account; develop and maintain a comprehensive account plan for each. Plans must include high priority sales goals as well as updates throughout the year.
    • Professionally represent the company on conference calls, sales calls, at travel tradeshows and industry/community functions; business travel required.
    • Fulfill miscellaneous account requests (retrieval and distribution of logos, artwork, collateral, etc.).
    • Attend internal status meetings for all on-going projects including anticipating upcoming projects.
    • Service Travel Agent/Agency and Consumer needs as directed.
    • Internal and external Ð Make high-level presentations about the organization including updates on the latest hotel openings, innovations, offers, and overall direction of the company.
    • Be a resource on activities, services and amenities within our resorts and Las Vegas.
    • Keep team abreast of changes in projects that may affect the overall budget and/or timing.
    • Review reservations to ensure proper commission issuance.
    • Quote accurate Complete Pricing/Total Pricing of Total Stay invoices.
    • Drive the execution of Continuous Improvement.
    • Sustain an enhanced level of operational performance.
    • Performs other job related duties as assigned.


    • Bachelor's degree; or equivalent education and experience.
    • At least 5 years Hotel or Travel Industry Sales experience.
    • Prior luxury consortia (AMEX FH&R, AMEX THC, VIRTUOSO, Signature Travel Network, etc.) program experience.
    • Experience in retail travel sales knowledge and an understanding of the Global Distribution System (GDS).
    • Experience in Property Management System (PMS) connectivity.
    • Excellent customer service skills.
    • Have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.
    • Professional appearance and demeanor.
    • Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms. 


    • Three years Luxury Hotel experience.
    • Understanding of GDS and PMS functionality.
    • Previous experience working in a similar resort setting.
