    The primary responsibility of the Sales Manager is to sell the complete portfolio of products on property. There will be a focus on both new business sales and up selling into existing accounts to secure target revenue. This position will grow the existing customer base with key customer s and establish new business within target utilizing the full resources available in the organization.

    • Solicits FIT bookings via approved travel agencies.
    • Provides sales, services and coordination of travel agent events with Hotel, Catering, Casino and other related departments to facilitate needs and prevent conflicts in scheduling.
    • Conducts and escorts site inspections.
    • Hosts prospective clients visiting the hotel, to include customer entertainment such as dining in hotel restaurants and accompanying to shows.
    • Formulates GDS advertising plan on a quarterly basis to ensure proper messaging.
    • Develops and institutes strategies to ensure the capture of a significant amount of travel agent bookings into Las Vegas.
    • Creates awareness and actively sells and solicits all goods and services through attendance at trade shows and other industry functions.
    • Meets or exceeds room revenue and food and beverage quotas with small group bookings.
    • Develops marketing suggestions to maximize occupancy and average rate during low seasonal periods.
    • Provides ongoing evaluation and account analysis on a monthly basis while tracking top producing agencies.
    • Maintains thorough knowledge of competitor's products and pricing.
    • Travels as required by Department Head.
    • Works with Corporate Advertising on development and content for travel agent newsletter, education program, and agent incentives.
    • Cooperates with others in matters of mutual concern and interacts with all departments to ensure consistency on all projects.
    • Develops and maintains a travel agent database to send promotional information via e-mail and direct mail.
    • Perform all other job related duties as requested.

    Required:

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and education.
    • At least 2 years of hotel sales department, entertainment, advertising or special event experience.
    • Previous experience in the following areas; meeting planning, décor planning, and set up direction.
    • Excellent customer service skills.
    • Have interpersonal skill to deal effectively with all business contacts.
    • Professional appearance and demeanor.
    • Work varied shifts, including weekends and  holidays.
    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Proficient in PC software (Stratus, Windows, Excel, MS Word, Daylight and Microsoft Exchange).
    • Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms.       

    Preferred:

    • Previous experience in a similar hotel/resort setting.
